Monica Gibbs, Principal Consultant
Monica Gibbs is an award winning activist with a journalism background and over a decade of campaign consulting, legislative, and political campaign experience.
She is the founder of Gibbs Consulting LLC, where she provides advocacy and media relations services to community based projects and grassroots organizations. She also offers services to candidates for political office.
Monica has served on numerous boards, held appointed political positions, and advocated on both the local and state levels. Her work includes serving as the State Deputy Director of Political Action Committees for a US Senate campaign, coordinating a Reproductive Justice and Health Education initiative for Mecklenburg and Union Counties, and managing successful political campaigns. Her most recent work was with the United States House of Representatives and NAACP.
Monica attended the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a graduate of the prestigious William C. Friday Fellowship for Human Relations where she joins a distinguished alumni network of North Carolina leaders.
Her mission in life is to empower other women, to advocate, and be a voice for those who are marginalized and underrepresented. Monica resides in Eastern North Carolina and is the proud mother of five and grandmother of three.
